Very cool. Does anybody have any idea if it's true that "There were only 10 imported into the U.S.A" of the Silver Star Classic Gespann? Seems low to me. I'd love to buy it, but not for ten grand!

those pipes turn fast my saxon tour has them in black and i have to redo them every riding season..
on mine it your head lamp is out at night you can see by the dull red glow to run home in first gear
the on coming cars may also see you they run very hot
and with that side car even hotter

i have seen one ... dealer that sold me the rt125 had one in summer 2002 it was used
and the price was high
i was short on cash and bought the rt125 its been 9 years and its been a great bike
been working on it in the shop..
it has been too hot to ride here
so doing the fall clean up early

I've seen four of them, all in Miami, and two more on various websites. As far as the official Silvy Gespann import number, ?? Many MZs of all models showed up in the US via the Cuban pipeline so who knows.......

With 16 original miles (as claimed by the seller)? I think it's just a bad pic as far as what looks like blueing on the pipes and surface corrosion. And yes, the pipes turn fast too. I'd like to eyeball it up close and personal.

Either of those would be "lottery" bikes...I'll buy it when I win the lottery... :D
As far as laying an eyeball on it, if he's got the Silver Star in Kingsport, would be a bit of a day-trip to give it a look-see. It does look pretty good in the pics.

This brand new MZ 1000 sold last year for $5,000 with a couple of miles on it.

He will never get anything close to $10,000

They are baaaack on Ebay. The 1000 is up to $5,655.55 (Reserve not met of course) and the Silver Star Gespann is languishing at $1800. Bill R is right - lottery bikes. But why not go for the moon - Ebay charges no listing fees so it costs the seller nothing. :?
