I bought the MZ to do a trip on with a freind of mine and it ran like a dream... Theres something about doing a trip on something thats not for pupose that makes it more fun.
Anyways the trips done and Ive had my fun, so the bike is up for sale.
Its a 1977 MZ TS250 with the 5 speed box, an East German 250cc 2 stroke, that starts on first kick everytime I've started it after priming and purrs like a dream. It has MOT till May 2013, and Tax till Jan 2013.
The previous owner had done a good job looking after it, and did the following:
■Professionally resprayed the Tank, Side panels and Mudguards
■Converted the front Brake to a twin leading shoe (CB400/4)
■Had the gearbox rebuilt and modified
■Replaced the horn
■Replaced the fuel tap
■Had the seat recovered
■New coil
■Rebuilt the carb
■Collected a wealth of spares including spare engine covers, tank, rack topbox, carbs, bolts, alloy airbox, the original front wheel and many more little spares.
It is in damn good condition (better than new with the Mods) but it isnt concourse, it has some rough spots, but only asthetics that doesnt effect the riding or the overall good looks of the bike, it would make a good racer project or for a new rider or simply a blast from the past. As always I will offer it up here and then it will go on eBay.
Any questions fell free to give me a shout Pm me or re-post.... Or if you want a ride its at Brands Hatch during the day and in Bexleyheath at night.
