Hi all,

A note of greeting and introduction. I recently became the proud owner of a beautiful 1997 Skorpion Sport Cup. It's my first MZ, but only the most recent in a long line of motorcycles going back many years. I just picked it up on Thursday and brought it back from Portland. It's proving to be a very enjoyable bike to ride. :-D Thanks for having all this expertise available online.

Thanks,

Kurt,

Welcome to the board! Good to have another MZ in Nor Cal. If you find yourself on the Peninsula and see a guy riding a Baghira Black Panther between San Mateo and Mountain View, that's probably me!

We MZ folk are rare here, but loyal. Although we're still waiting for MZ to come back to the States after their recent resurrection (I'm patient, but I've got my fingers crossed!), if you need parts, the guys at SF Moto can probably help you out. They're on 8th St. in San Francisco, and their web page is here: http://www.sfmoto.com/. Tony and Mike work the counter, and they're great guys.

Lots of valuable info on this site and from this community. You'll get lots of help here.

Have fun!

Yeah, I know I'm not alone entirely here in the Bay Area. I've got a couple of friends with Baghiras in the city, Marija and Chris at MotoJava.

Now I'm off to search on whether this thing should be so thirsty. It uses more gas than my Hypermotard!

Thanks for the welcome!
