MMOEXP: A passion for FromSoftware games and Elden Ring

Postby Ludwighench » Tue Dec 03, 2024 2:27 am

One of Elden Ring Runes most difficult bosses has just become harder again. FromSoftware issued a small patch on Monday to improve Starscourge Radahn's abilities after the game's massive 1.03 patch was able to weaken some of the demigod's attacks. Some Elden Ring players are already enjoying themselves, as if there's one thing they like, it's the constant beatings they receive.

The official boss of Redmane Castle, Starscourge Radahn pelts you with arrows, multi-hit combinations as well as a variety of gravity-based energy attacks that punish recklessness and greed. Starscourge Radahn has already become a famous meme in the Elden Ring community due to being both amazing and utterly bullshit. If you've faced him during March 17 through today, but you weren't able to face his full power due to a bug that's been uncovered. Patch 1.03.3 launched on April 4 on consoles as well as PC, addresses that.

"Fixed an issue in the balance adjustment for the boss Starscourge Radahn in update 1.03 that caused the force of some attacks was unintentionally reduced," the note reads.

Although FromSoftware's patch notes are in the dark, players were able to identify some changes to Radahn soon after update 1.03 was released. In particular, the damage of melee and some other attacks appeared reduced, and his hitboxes to connect with attacks also became smaller. It's not anymore.

There are several distinctive aspects of the Radahn battle, the most notable of being the fact that a bunch of famous warriors within the game's world of fantasy are called to fight alongside you. This can help distract Radahn, which lets players can inflict injuries without being immediately slamming. This also means Radahn is built to take on an entire team. There are classic Souls moments, such as when Radahn appears to disappear into the sky halfway through the battle and then crashes back to earth, only to be greeted by destruction and death.

However, due to the accident-related nerf, many players recently beat Radahn, without even realizing that they'd been given an extra helping hand. "I defeated him in the second round after the first playthrough... i didnt think he had been in fact nerfed.. i thought i had luck," wrote one player on the Elden Ring subreddit. "Defeated him after my third attempt. I didn't even know that at the time," wrote another.

Some players thought Radahn was too easy, particularly on second playthroughs. "40 years in the future: 'gather your grandchildren, and listen to my story of my epic duel against pre-nerf Radahn, the of the Scourge of the Stars,'" quipped one shortly after the nerf's discovery. It's up to them cheap Elden Ring Runes whether or not, the rest of us can enjoy the splendor of the Radahn fight, as evidently intended.
