Looks like the only moderator who is still active is David Thompson and he hasn't been around for almost a month. Shame I used to enjoy this forum.

With the actual motorcycle-related content now down to little or none, it looks like the lunatics have taken over the asylum......

Well, I've PM'd and emailed David, and I've tried to contact boris through ICAAN. The site registration runs out on 24 March this year, so it might be about to disappear anyway, but thought it was worth a try.

Thanks for that insight. Let's see what happens in the coming 2 weeks.

David logged in a week ago, and he is apparently not doing well. While I wish him all the best, as I said in another thread on the matter: this forum is in dire need of an admin/moderator, or it will surely die a slow death. After a clean-up new participants may hopefully follow.

But without admin access to the hardware & contract side, managing a forum like this is not really feasible IMO. Would there be any volunteers?

I would be quite happy to take the forum over, I'm retired so time isn't a problem. However without any reply from David or Boris I can't see anything we can do. Sorry to hear David isn't doing well. I see he was on the forum earlier today. I seem to remember him saying he didn't have Boris' contact details.

Ah well, it was good while it lasted!

Some of it appears to have been archived on Archive.org but it's quite patchy. I'm looking to see if I can find away to archive it all.

A quick lesson in Linux and I'm TRYING to wget the forum! Wish me luck.

Oooh that didn't work as I expected... I crashed the forum after downloading 30000 records... or something like that! Time for a rethink.

The thing is, it might be archived. But are you going to host the content? If not, who? :-)
