A new trailer for Tekken 8 has sparked speculation that Anna Williams will be the final character added to the first year of the game’s DLC roster. With just one character left to complete the lineup, fans are eager to discover who will join the list of beloved fighters.

The first DLC character to return was Eddy Gordo, the Brazilian capoeirista who made his debut in Tekken 3 and quickly became a fan favorite. Following Eddy, Lidia Sobieska, the Prime Minister of Poland, joined the roster, showcasing her karate skills from Tekken 7. To everyone's surprise, Heihachi Mishima was announced as the third DLC fighter, bringing with him a new Tekken 8 stage.

In the latest trailer, a clue suggests that Anna Williams, Nina's younger sister, may be the final DLC character for Year 1. At the 2:12 mark, a helicopter targets Nina Williams, and the trailer zooms in on a missile with a lipstick mark on it. This detail has led fans to believe that Anna, who has been a staple in every Tekken game since the first, will make her return. While Anna is not yet available in Tekken 8, Nina has been part of the roster since launch.

Beyond the speculation about Anna's return, the trailer also revealed updates for Tekken 8. Winter and spring content updates are in the works, including improvements to the new photo mode and additional cosmetics to celebrate 30 years of the Tekken franchise. The spring update will also bring Tekken 8's Season 2, which will introduce new moves for all characters, though the Year 2 DLC characters remain a mystery.

Fans won’t have to wait long to find out who the next DLC fighter will be. On December 12, during The Game Awards 2024, Bandai Namco will announce the fourth Year 1 character. Tekken 8 is also nominated for Best Fighting Game, competing against titles like MultiVersus and Dragon Ball: Sparking ZERO, making for an exciting evening for Tekken fans.
