My friend and co-worker wanted to buy mine before I sold it so he could race it but I sold it for more than he wanted to pay me and he didn't have the cash relative to my impatience. I think that race has a good purse. Good luck.

Finished 19th, out of 34 bikes left at end.

Riders Were Narbone/Hudson/ Martire Black stock MZ1000
Brookside Racing
Sponosr William Miller Esq

Only modification 2 into 1 race exhaust.

I read somewhere (here, where else!) that it was about 100.
45 were sold to dealers (how many black/silver? who knows) and the distributor had the rest....which eventually were shipped back to Germany....I still don't know for certain...we may never know the actual numbers or story. The great MZ mystery!!:roll:
