Hi guys - I'm wondering just how many of these bikes there are in the UK. I reckon it would be interesting to find out and perhaps arrange different meetings for a ride out. If we all knew who lived where I reckon we could be a lot more help to each other. Would any owners of said bikes reply here - not actual address just area. Lets see what happens - could be good
Andy

Hi Cam,
I'm in Invergordon about 25 miles North of Inverness, at the other end of the country from most of you guys. I've got the only SF in town as far as I know

Cool so far 8 maybe 9 so far. Anyone else out there? So far this is looking like a really rare beast with a really wide distribution. Come on don't be shy - lets get some organisation and support for 1000 owners.

I have travelled quite widely around the UK in the two years that I have owned my ST clocking up around 24,000 miles and I have only seen one other 1000 and that was an SF in paignton (about 8 miles from my home). I was told for example that only 10 ST 's were imported. If this is the case then we are indeed dealing with a rare beast. Over the pond the situation must be even more rarified.

Hi Cam and forum team,
Update.
Was at Road and Racing Motorcycles in Hyde (East Manchester) on Saturday. Roger Sandoe was saying that not many MZ dealers took on the 1000. He thought that there could be about 10 - 12 1000S models in the UK. They only ever sold 2 including mine recently. I collect mine next weekend after the latest fuel map is programmed in.
Went to the MZ Riders NE branch camp at Dent (Cumbria) a couple of weekends ago. There was a black 1000s and an orange 1000sf at that event. I promised to go the AGM on mine in a few weeks. Cheers J2T

Hi Cam,
Two posts in one day!
Ordered some filters from Grahams today and spoke to Ian who said that some workers at the factory have had their notices withdrawn which is good news.
Also reckoned that they (Grahams) had sold 4S, 4ST and 2SF models and they still have a new 1000S and 1000SF in stock.
Pleasleys (Mansfield) have a demonstrator ST available. Regards J2T
