Springs for a big guy?

Postby wheelmanron » Mon Oct 29, 2007 10:25 am

Hello all, Ron here. I have a question. I have a 1996 Skorpion Tour and I seem to be bottoming out the forks. I weigh 280lbs, and I use the bike for almost daily transport. I was thinking about installing some air valves on the fork caps like all of my old KZs had, just for a little fine tuning. Have any of you done that with success? Or I might just get the upgraded fork springs. Any thoughts or suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

your best bet is to have springs made to order for your weight and purpose. Wilbers will make them for you for only a little bit more (about 15%) than catalogue items.
