ok, the best way to a better seat. custom? pads? i would bet no one builds seats for these. who knows?

nope, not to my knowledge. You could be a bit more specific.

One reason why I bought the Tour 1994 and not the Sport was the seat and the position.
I had mine recoverd with real leather and it was great. Still in service and still good, if not on my bike which no longer exists in that form anyway.
