Providing you`ve put it exactly where I said , it will never come in contact with the circulating oil.That 518 is the best stuff known to man i reckon , I`ve put leaky Norton crankcases togther , gearboxes , rocker covers ,and NEVER had another leak from the same place .I dont use gaskets , but I do pay particular attention to the mating faces and ensure they`re cleaned with solvent before I apply a tiny bead of the 518 to one face only . Loctite 510 is good as well and will tolerate higher internal pressures , more suited to industrial situations for joint sealing of pressure parts . The best thing is ,,,,,,IT NEVER SETS HARD .Regards Rossco
