Skorpion Q/D exhaust?

When I collected my Skorpion Tour from a dealer a month ago, with a fresh MOT in hand, I assumed it would get me home without bother. And it did, to its credit, but I was aghast to see the big OEM silencer barely hanging on by one loose bolt. Even worse was what I found when I looked, and that was one pathetic little trapped 'nut' inside the perforated box mount on the can itself. Maybe the bike had been bodged, but this attachment looked horribly original, being all that supports all that weight beyond the exhaust port stubs.

So an improvement was called for. The single 'nut' has been replaced with a 1/4" strip of steel threaded in two places, with a shaped clamping plate to secure over the hanger itself, all held together with drilled-and-wired stainless socket-head bolts. That's not going anywhere!!

Sorry that the pics are rather big, and it missed the first one that shows the components, including the rusty little 'trapped-nut' originally holding the can on....
