the one Bill uses is 2.7 ohms but this is used with a replacement ignition
to be sure, I used that coil with that Silenthektik ignition on my all-outracer, but I also use that same coil with the standard ignition in my blue street Skorpion and have been doing so for years.
- can easily be seen here: the blue bike was always a street bike with starter and standard ignition.

That bike, now sold and painted green, is used only on the track, albeit with the czech box I have often referred to. Of course it uses the Silenthektik coil.
I also sent one to my friend Chris Hunsicker in Philidelphia for his track Skorpion which also uses the the standard battery ignition and starter.
Of course I use it in my present street Skorpion
- here, 2008, my green street Skorpion with the same coil and obviously original DENSO box, tho mounted in a different place.

In the meantime I have changed over to the
Ignitech box which I also use in the SZR. Here, I am still using the Denso coil because there is so lttle room behind the fairing and the mount so close to the deltabox frame to accomodte the
MotoCoil. On the Skorpion, one needs only to bend the welded tabs on the frame inward to make room for the much larger coil. This can sorta be seen in the pics. One also need a different lead to the plug for the SilentHektik coil, one with a standard car-type plug at the coil. I use a BERU lead myself; you can see the blue lead.
