Need airscrew setting help urgent.

I cant see it run like a beast for 20 miles and stall @ the traffic light and not have compression ...
Its sucking through the carb ... or atleast the intake ports ...
Its pushing plenty of gas through the exhaust.

I guess fuel ... and your warnings about isoheet etc etc I have to take as the reason ...

BTW it could have jumped a tooth or 2-3 on the cam chain ... that usually happens on shutting the throttle ... I actually stalled it on the way up @ that traffic light ... let it sit 10 mins, started it back and it ran like a beast to my exit ... where upon it stalled and never started back ...

I have to check a few things ... the gas is my first bet though.

How do you guys check timing.
I can hand turn it to the TDC and see if valves are fully closed.
I would think that should do.
Also how to check if the ignition trigger is good. I do get spark, but at the right time ?

If I hand turn it with the key on will it spark ? then I can see if it hits @ tdc ?
