Completely dead

Postby Freshy » Sun Sep 15, 2013 10:13 am

So I took a quick trip up the road on my Tour to watch a soccer match with my son. Before we left I had to give my battery a quick jolt with my charger because I haven't been riding it consistently and it seeps in the humid Florida weather in the summer. Anyway, while riding she stalled a couple times but started right back up. After watching the game, we hop on the bike to come back home and when I turn the key....Nothing. No indicators at all. I check the battery connections, bang on the ignition area, make sure my kick stand is up, try turning the key a number of times in different positions but nothin' doin'. I pulled the battery and charged it overnight and put it in the next day and still nothing. Pushed her the 1.5 miles home and here she sits. :? Never experienced this before. Had my battery die a few times, but I always had some power getting to lights & indicators on speedo. Any ideas on what needs to be checked/replaced? She is a '95' and I haven't had to replace anything electric save for the battery twice and light bulbs. Thanks for the help!

the relay 30 on the drawings for 660 bikes also as relay 19 on the 125cc bikes

if you ground the green wire from it bike should power up
there are red/black and a red/white wires they are the the power in and out wires
when there is the key on there should be power on 1 or the other or both
this relay is a pain it controls the whole bike
bad main contacts in this relay will give your symptoms
