Seeking replacement plug for Secondary Carb

Somewhere on the back straight of Barber Motorsports Park, the brass plug which screws into the bottom of the secondary carb worked itself out and buried itself in the grass along the side of the track.

I know my riding is embarrassing, but jumping ship mid-lap is just mean.

Luckily, Gordon Hamilton was there with his Skorpion and loaned me his. I suspect he's gonna want it back, and I need a replacement.

I've discovered that Raptors have different carbs. Can't find a matching one other 660 Yamahas. Anyone know where I can find one?

The '94 XT600 is supposed to have the same carbs. Your part no. should be 7KF-14162-00-00.

the washers on a brake banjo connection are also very steep

Copper washers tend to be universally sized. Any good garage or hardware shop should stock them

The parts for the xt600 are very different. Not brass and not hollowed out. Does it need to be?

Any other ideas or suggestions? What brand of carb is the secondary carb?

It's just a plug to stop fuel from pouring out. Do the threads not match up? I'm pretty sure both carbs are Teikei.

I did not take the plug from the dealership as it was so different from the stock one. So, you don't think the hollowed out "bowl" portion of the stock plug is needed? If not, It will be an easy fix.

I don't think so. As long as the bolt or plug that you replace it with doesn't cover the fuel pathway coming from the primary carb, you should be good to go. Fuel will flow to the secondary carb only as fast as the fuel line can carry it. Any "bowl" or reserve space under the main jet is merely coincidental. It can't supply the jet with extra fuel without violating the laws of physics since it's not vented to atmosphere. IMO

Worst case scenario. Drill a hole in the middle of the new part to simulate the hollowed out part of the original.

Okay. That was kind of the conclusion the guy at the dealership came to in the end. We'll try it and see how it goes.
