Engine Rebuild

Hey Everybody,

I bought my Skorpion last year with the intent of it serving much of it's time on the track.

I had a nice chat with Galen Miller this morning about rebuilding the engine for reliability with as much performance boost as seems reasonable.

He suggested an 02 over piston, a little head flow work, new carillo rod, undercut the trans for starters. Secondly, we might want to consder a hotter cam, with new valves and springs. Basic work oughtta give me a longlasting engine with an extra 8hp or so.

This would leave the engine prime for a set of FCR's and new exhaust to really uncork it when I have some more cash down the road.

I'm totally psyched and looking forward to getting in tons of track time this year!

Any thoughts, comments, suggestions?

Thanks,
Chris in Chicago

sounds like the best way to go. it really makes no sense to build something that will blow up.

keep us posted on the progress, and the costs.
