my rt125 is bad about loosing the prime in the carb when it sets a few days
i some times inject a little gas into the intake ahead of the carb
the bike will fire and run on it for a few seconds this draws a vacume
that sucks new fuel into carb and then it will start and run ok
ar dave
also check that plug is firing

This is a problem with all bikes using this basic motor and carb.
Drain the float bowl.
Many find it best to let the float chamber run dry: when you stop for the day (or longer) shut off the petcock and let the engine run until it runs out of gas.
There is also the possibility of water in the float chamber and/or water in the gas tank. Adding a little methanol helps here.

I had the problem of my standard carbs flooding and my entire tank emptying all over my garage floor...twice...after cleaning the carb and remembering to turn my fuel off when the bike was standing cured the problem! They are a bit of a nightmare sometimes, usually a clean does the trick and it's not a major job either!
