Firstly, thanks to all who responded to my"non starting mastiff"topic.I have another question-How can i get a lighter throttle action?I`ve been spoilt by my light action Gasgas throttle. Can i remove the "return" cable and/or fit a lighter return spring on the Mastiff?

you can fit a weaker spring if you leave the desmodromic intact. You could even take the spring out entirely, remembering to consciously close the throttle.
You can also run the stock carb with a single cable but then you definitely need a spring strong enuf to pull the wire back.
Best thing to do, however, is to check out both cables and the twistgrip, seeing to it that they run as freely as possible. Then the spring can be weak.

The GasGas is no comparison. It will have a much higher quality short throw grip and cable routed the straightest, shortest way possible. It is has a large Mikuni or Keihin flastslide, larger than 40mm then that has a single wire and the slide has roller bearings.
