I'm trying hard to figure this out, gents ......................
Just out of curiosity I rigged a direct feed yesterday, from the tank's fuel tap to the carb inlet - and then took the bike out for a test run - with no discernible difference. The fuel tank is above the carb float bowl by several inches - the same as every British bike I've ever owned - so why do I need a fuel pump when a gravity feed seems to do just as well?
If simpler is better - and bits like fuel pumps cost a lot of money over a whole production run - why on earth did MuZ fit one of the things to the Skorps? It seems pretty much redundant to my tiny mind...................
