Hi everyone , just looking for some help. I want to change the fork oil but there doesn't seem to be a drain on the fork legs so do I have to take off the legs and drain them upside down through the top caps? also I want to stiffen up the front end a wee bit so would using 10 grade fork oil help? cheers........Hutchy

Skorpion? Baggy?

you have to take off the leg and empty it out at thru the top.

Heavier oil make it more sluggish , not stiffer.
Less air column, i.e. more oil makes it stiffer.

I changed the fork oil on my 02 Baggy to 15 weight and fitted longer preload spacers to the forks and it made a huge improvement to the way the front end feels.

Hope this helps,
Kenny.

The guys at Sonic Springs can set you up with a pair of stiffer springs...Just ordered a pair (yet to install), but I swapped out my springs with Sonics on my VStrom and holy moly what a difference! I hold faith that the same will be true of the Baggy once I get around to installing them...
