Hi everyone,
Little problem started last week, for a few minutes my indicators were erratic then stopped working altogether. I've had a quick look today under the seat. It seems the switch is ok as i can feel a relay clicking next to the battery. Well I think it's a relay ( it's a small black plastic box that can be pulled apart and a small circuit board is inside) All the fuses are ok too. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what to check or if this is a common problem ?
Thanks
Graham

helps if you say which bike
bad flasher unit and make sure bulbs in flashers are correct wattage
there is a plug in the harness near the fork neck on some of the bikes that can be a problem
the relay 19 supply s the cdi box if bike runs ok thats not it
something is loose or broken in the harness under the tank or at the fork neck
these bikes are bad about corroding in the connector plugs
first thing check that the fuse is good been a bunch of people with bad fuses
i am a ham radio operator and fellow hams have been complaining about poor quality
fuses lately
dave
about 60% of the problems on the 660 bikes when sorted out ends up being bad wire connections
the harness on my 125 is a piece of trash friend has a aprilia road bike and its not very good either
some of these new bikes are making old Joe Lucas look like he knew what he was doing
'like training me to fix this junk

Hi,
Assuming you've checked the bulbs most of the problems with electrical circuits involve bad connections.
That could mean blade connectors that have poor contact or it could mean that the wire entering the terminal is not secure.
The best way to check is with a continuity tester (included in most multimeters).
Once you have found the poor connection it's best to strip the wire and solder the wire to the terminal if possible.
David.

My Skorpion's flashers were working intermittently last year due to some minor corrosion on the terminals of the flasher unit. On the Skor the flasher unit is a small black box under the seat. Take a look, it's a quick fix.
There was another thread on flasher units that was covered here about 6 months ago. You may search for that too.

Hi Everyone,
Sorry i've taken my time fixing the problem i've had my bosses 2007 Fireblade to keep me company for the last week ! That bike will do my top speed in first !
After further wiring checks and checking I have voltage etc I replaced the relay ( thanks Handsome J ) with a Halfords relay part no HFU210 that cost £2.69 !
I swapped it over making sure the wiring goes backinto the correct number ( the layout is opposite on this relay so it didnt work at first !) and it's sorted indicators back on !
My only question is that the indicators now flash at a quicker speed why is this ? But i'm more than happy to have working flashers !
Thanks !

THE FLASHERS RATE OF FLASH IS SET BY THE LOAD PLACED ON IT BY THE BULBS
IF YOU ARE FOLLOWING A CAR AND HIS TURN SIG FLASHES REAL FAST OR REAL SLOW
HIS FRONT BULB IS PROBABLY OUT
