Skorpion Tour, speedometer in kilometers or miles?

Hi all,

could someone with definitive authority tell me if my 2002 Skorpion Tour's speedometer reads in kilometers or in miles? It was showing around 1900 and I converted that to 1200 US miles. I'd really appreciate it.

run it 10 miles by the mile markers on the interstate
and see if it reads correct and also you can use some ones gps on it

i had a bmw in 1972 face was mph numbers were in km
it was replaced by dealer
they are an unkown seen them both ways
my saxon tour is metric

Well, the dealer I got mine from a couple of w/es ago thought it showed 17.5kmiles. A hint elsewhere set me to checking and it is definitely reading in kms, so I've got an 11kmile bike for the price! Thats here in the UK, so its definitely a Euro bike, though the speed says it is mph and it looks like that is right....

i placed a small gps unit in the faring set to the mph view .
that works to keep me from speeding
as it a bit off on the original meter due to not finding the rear tire in the proper size in my area
110/80 -16 in the usa ????

Thanks Dave and Nick, I never thought about using the GPS or mile markers to get to the bottom of this! Jim.
