Sproket change

All, could I ask all of you experts what is the best sproket set-up to make my 04 Baghira wheelie a little easier .... I think it is currently on a standard set-up, its quick and will wheelie but only if you pull off, shut off then give it a handfull !!!!! I am looking for more of a steady power wheelie. Can you offer and good advice ? ta

i will let you know when i get my 47 tooth rear fitted, i got my new chain on order and should get it sorted by weekend. i also got a rear sprocket of 45 teeth when i get fed up of the 47. you can buy it off me if yah wants if i sell it.

front standard is 15 teeth, rear standard for supermoto is 43 teeeth. any bigger rear or smaller front will give you more acceleration less top end.

bigger front sprocket / smaller size rear wil do opposite i.e. more top speed, less accelaeration...

go for the 47 rear 15 front, and a 118 link chain, you will have to take a link and a 1/2 out of chain. Fitted mine yesterday, awesome setup not tried wheelies, as i not any good at them. but its like riding a two stroke. power for 50 to 80 is awesome. top speed not altered to much either still topping out at 90mph...

Cheers mate will give it a try when the white stuff stops falling ..... oh and it warms up a few degrees !!!!!!!!! I have no problems with the power as they are a quick bike and also top end is fine hit 100mph and to be honest on a bike like this that's enough ... will see what I can do in a couple of months and let you know ...

I don't think the Baghira will ever be a great wheelie bike. I've reduced my front sprocket by one tooth but it still won't clutch up enougth in 2nd to get a good long wheelie. You can clutch it up easy in first but the balance point is quiet high, the gearing so short combined with a low rpm limit makes it a little difficult to shift into 2nd gear.If the gearing is reduced any more then 1st gear will be pointless. I've come to the conclusion the bike is 40kg too heavy and the swingarm to long for the bike to pull good wheelies.
