.....got a picture of part 57 connecting to point A on the carbs, from the Service/Fiche manual. It's some kind of breather. mine is just hanging down..Not sure thats correct...

On the Skorpion the breather sits horizontally, not connected to anything. So, if on the Mastiff and Baghira it's vertical, that's probably correct. It seems to be just a breather with a filter in it (the fat bit).
Will take a picture next time I've got the tank off.

Mine is hanging pointing downways, kept kindof in place with a cable tie. Just worried that this is wrong and should be secured or connected to some other component. Also does that mean I could replace the filter with one of those tarty car-type filters?

The one on my Baghira hangs down also and the cable tie is fine. I only thought I've ever had is to keep it from getting too close to the exhaust.

Hi,

done the same to mine, put on a small chrome breather filter been on there for about a year now, i just wanted to get rid of the crap behind the back of the engine. and give it a real good clean, also sleeved my starter motor at the same time with stainless steel look better than the standard finish.....
