Swingarm stripdown with pictures........any interest?

I'd just had my swingarm & shocker on the Skorpion out for a quick checkup, a clean, and a regrease, when I read over on the other MZ place (Norman's site) that an owner thought this was a difficult job.

Now I'm not a glutton for punishment or nuffink strange like that, but this is so simple once someone's shown you how easy it is (and once you've got the confidence) - you don't even need any special tools - that I'm seriously toying with the idea of whipping it out one more time (steady on at the back there chaps) only with a camera handy, then writing up a walk through-talk through for the operation.

Questions:

1. How many people would find this interesting? (In other words, is it worth me busting my ass?)
2. Can it be hosted on here or should I plan to reserve webspace for it? (I'm terribly poor and can't afford proper food)
3. Will you sue my ass off if you cock it up? (You break it - you lump it, sort of thing. Deal?)

So, anybody wanna get some feelthy pitchers of a naked Skorp' with its bearings out? :smt005

Bob

Linegeist,
I think it's a great confidence inspiring idea on your part, following others who have helped so many at this site in the past.
Just think of the fellow riders like myself who would not want to make a mistake when working on their own treasure.

I agree Bob,
it is not as terrible a job as it first appears although getting some of the bearings out of the linkage can be a bit tricky.

BTW I live is mid wales so we should meet up sometime

Hi,
Yes, please post the step by step instructions.
I've just bought a Skorpion traveller so would like to keep on top of the maintenance.
Thanks.

David.

OK. Time slot's booked, wife's going on retail therapy, workshop's swept.

I'm aiming to have the info on the 'net w/e 22nd March. I've got some spare webspace where I can bung the article and pics, and I'll post a link here on the Sunday.

Hasta la Vista chaps!
