Baggy fork spring replacement

Postby CasterTroy » Tue Apr 07, 2009 1:14 pm

Is there any special technique for removal of the stock fork spring and replacing it with a stiffer spring?

Is it simply removing the upper plug and pulling the cap, and spring guide out? Do I need to back out the screws in the cap top? or just leave everything in place and remove the top cap as one piece?

seem to remember that you need to unbolt the spring from the cap, can't quite recall exactly what but when i done my mates fork oil last summer i had to seperate the cap may have been from damper and rebound tubes, i know its self explanatory when you see it.
there is the service info on here somewhere i think as well.

This should be all you need:

Good luck!
