rear mud stopper thing

Postby handsomejackuk » Thu Apr 09, 2009 4:34 pm

Hi,

need details of the rear mud stopper thingy that hangs offa the airbox on my baghira... It has a KTM number on it. I went to my useless not so friendly nearest KTM dealer and was told there are so many dont know what bike it is off. On my way in, i noticed a KTM type bike with a part on it that loooked exactly the same....mentioned this to the useless fat geezer on the counter...ahhhh we have scooters with the KTM part number on it.....there are so many...(useless tw*t)....

on my way out i confronted one of the other orange T-shirted Pr***ks and he said the bike is a LC4 would this be right ????

sorry for the bad attitude but just goes to show how single minded these KTM dealers are.....

anyone know where i can get a replacement one of these ?

I know there are several parts on the Baggy that are from the LC4 (radiators, rad guards, clutch lever assembly, etc.), so I wouldn't be surprised at all if the mudguard was from an LC4.

Alun,
I looked at the rear mud stopper thing on my 2001 Baghira and it is the same as the ebay rear mud stopper thing with "KTM 94.96" molded right in just like the ebay add.
If the seller knows... it might be worth asking what year of KTM LC4 it came off of for reference.
Regards,
OMC

hi,

thanks for the ebay thing, i was looking for a new one. pretty certain it is the same as ktm lc4.

Will phone around some other ktm dealers tomorrow, and maybe grahams taunton to see how much they are.

Wonder if KTM ever made and aftermarket type one from carbon, or something a bit tricker than the standard item ?
