MZ/MuZ Riders

My baggi has had no charge in the battery for two days now, so I guess that battery is goosed. On the first day it took a bump start and then worked all day...then left overnight it was completely drained... could be sometghing left on or drawing power but I don't have the skills to check. Any suggestions?

for £18 plus postage...

However, it looks like the standard acid filled battery. I would much prefer a GEL Battery as I've bought these for my other bikes and always been very happy with them and I didn't need to go looking for acid to fill them either!

Can anyone suggest a part number of a GEL battery for the Baggi? I got my last battery from ebay

I recently got one from my local friendly bike shop.It was cheaper than £18,came with acid(in a plastic bottle),i didn`t have to pay postage AND it will help keep him in bussiness!

I had the same problem with my battery on my bike and discovered that the battery was totaly dry, once topped up with distilled water and recharged it presented no more problems.

If you think there is a drain on the battery then ,once charged , disconnect it overnight then in the morning if the battery doesn`t turn the bike over then it is U/S if it does then you are looking for something that is draining it.

I'm trying to slow deep charge the current original GTX9-BS battery
I can't fill it will water as it states that it should not be opened on the top

My battery is 144L x 88W x 111H... the one on wemoto is too tall by nearly 30mm... does anyone know of a GEL battery I could get as a replacement?

another check is to use a reasonable quality trickle charger (Optimate ) after it charges it goes into a maintain mode and charges every 30 mins or so, if the voltage as dropped due to a poor connection etc then there's a led that will light to tell ya

thanks dudes. I left the battery on the optomate today and when I got home it was fully charged/good condition.

I put the battery back in the bike and noticed fizzing followed by some white smoke. tomorrow, I'll reinsulate the wiring around that area. I think/been advised that the wring maybe shorting against the frame...

I'll hold off on the new battery just now...
