No idea about the 4 pot.
I have a 125sm and there is a hole under the water pump in that casing as well.
Agreed about the forum helping, its good to chat with people who have all had the same problems as you, and solved it.

Doesn't having a tyre that big on the back screw up the handling??

I'm running MICHELIN POWER SPORT 180 and the handling is excellent set up as it is i keep up with a gixer 1000 ,new R1 and 'mad kosty' on his track zxr750.Obviously losing me on a straight (long one!) i am hitting the rev limiter !! just getting my head round the different riding style i have to adopt as i used to have sliders to tell me how far 'over' i was.although i am told it looks a bit mental from behind ,been thinkin about progressive springs for the front ... but then i dont want to stiffen it up to much and lose the feel of the front end. i still cant get over how much fun this thing is for the money!!! i will be buying some exhaust insulating wrap ...read up on doin it and apparently maintains hotter exhaust gasses that exit the system faster. This produces increased exhaust scavenging and leads to lower intake temp = increased bhp ?!! we will see......its a cheap mod and demon tweeks do a very nice graphite wrap.

Baggie 660,
Did you mount the 180 Tire on the stock rim and does it rub the swing arm (seems it would be a tight fit)?
Thanks- Ed

Hi edec my rim size is 5 3/8" and it fits no problem it hasnt 'egged' out of shape and i have about 7mm between the tyre and chain.. and about 10mm on the other side between tyre and swinging arm.I did take the chain guard off...have a look at my photo's see what you think bud.

hi baggie, are you still running the 180 tyre without any problems? is yours a standard baghira rim? as im thinking of puting one on mine as there seems much more choice in that size and they seem to be a lot cheaper to find then the 160 size that i have on there at the moment

The pics of your bike are cool. I'm interested in seeing how you mounted your front turn signals and getting info about your tail light and blinkers
Thanks -Ed

ive just replaced my rear. i had to put a 160 on as i had to do it in a hurry (the copper only gave me a week
but at least he didnt fine me )
but my 160 tyre is less then 10mm away from rubbing on the chain .dont now if my o ring chain is a extra heavy duty. are you running yours with a o ring chain

Hi Mr Brightside.. yes i'm running an 'o' ring chain... chain width is 20.4 mm from outside rivet and i still have 5mm clearance tyre to chain not sure what chain it is as it came with the bike..but as long as i stay with that width chain in future no probs.( i had to take chain guard off)
Might try an old trick from days of cb750's and cbx 1000's when i put car valve springs in the front forks to stiffen em up! ..before 'progressive' springs was the thing! worked out a lot cheaper!! and worked!!.. i'll keep u posted.
