speedo cable gone

Postby handsomejackuk » Tue May 12, 2009 2:34 pm

Hi,

Just binned my speedo cable as no longer needed / used, only probem is am left with the two holes on the fork legs that serve no purpose, and a speedo drive on the front axle, that serves no purpose either.

Does anyone know if there is a commercially available spacer i can use on the front wheel. Instead of the speedo drive ?

Also ideas on what to do with the holes on the fork leg. ?

Was thinking of making a bracket to span the both forks to attach my lower mudguard,

or Completely file off the bracket and smooth, and repaint / Polish the both fork legs.

I did notice that another baghira had their forks polished, and it did look nice...

Any ideas ?

May just go for a repaint this year, and look into getting the forks polished in the winter.

Would i have to strip the forks cmpletely down, to get them polished ??
I'm a schizophrenic so am I !!!!

do not file off someone after you may want to make it like new again
and you just screwed up the fork
i just love bmw /2 frames with the sidecar brackets missing

grinding them off bent up frames to weld back on good frames has become one of my arts
