MZ/MuZ Riders

I have a Skorpion sport that I love. I'm thinking of getting a Tour or Traveller for a more comfy seating position and longer distance travel. The issue I think I might have is that the Skorpion Sport buzzes. I know it's to be expected with a thumper but I wondered if the Tour or Traveller vibrate less. Are the handle bars rubber mounted? Any vibratory observations on the Tour and Traveller? Thanks.

Guess it's a matter of perspective; most people would probably say that my Tour is buzzy, but compared to my '73 Aermacci it feels like a turbine. I've only owned one bike in my 30+ years of riding that wasn't a single, so to me, the Tour feels pretty smooth. The bars on my '96 Tour are the factory clip ons, just mounted higher than those on the Sport with a bit more rise. Later models used a conventional tubular bar but I do not belive that they were rubber mounted. My understanding is that the Traveller is just a Tour with a fairing, so probably not much difference there, either.

I have a 2000 model 'Tour' that has the tubular steel bars and can honestly say that vibes in the bars are not a problem so long as you keep the revs at around 4000-4500 when touring, that seems to be the most comfortable range and gives the best fuel economy.Have done many fullday rides in the last 8 years and have had no problem.If you get a Tour or Traveller have a read of Bill Jurgensen's blog about setting your ride position, most important to having an enjoyable long days ride,nothing worse than finishing a day stiff and sore.
