The final word on everything

Postby stonewally » Tue Jun 30, 2009 6:09 pm

Well. I've about had it with this site; seems to be a one-man "look at me and look at what I've done now and look at what I've got for sale" kind of a show anyway... If that's the case, start yourself a blog... You'll not only have the final word on everything, you'll have the only word. Last time I posted was to try and start a collective list of cross-referenced parts that fit the Skorpion... Only negative response. Funny thing is that someone suggested the same thing for the Baghira/off-road bunch, and they were all over it; what a stupid idea. I'd expect the kind of snobbery seen here from the high-end Eurobike crowd, or the "custom built chopper crowd" but, were talking inexpensive simple little all you really need to have fun kinda bikes here. Gotta exclude most of you guys in Europe, it seems you have some better parts sources, and that it is not as much of an issue for you. There was even a member of this site selling a bike and some spares on ebay, he went so far as to include a bit of a personal profile in the listing (really sounded like quite the spectacular fellow) even went on to invite "all inquiries" because he was such an "enthusiast". I shot a legitimate question about the bike his way, and he responded that he "didn't have time" for such non related nonsense. I've had 20 or so bikes, got a Puch SG-250, an 1986 FXWG H-D that was bought new and is now stripped down to the minimum (the 650 pound "clunker" will loft the front end and set your eyeballs back a bit), a '78 ts-250 Suzuki for getting out in the woods, and a Skorpion; that's four bikes currently... The Skorpion probably makes more sense than any of them, but I like bikes and would ride just about anything if I had to. For a modest bike with a deserved following it sure seems a chore to find some decent info.

If you're looking for a Skorpion forum you could visit the one that I administer. http://mzskorpion.mybb3.org/portal.php Since we (mostly) only deal with Skorpions, topics don't get 'sidetracked' too much.
If you're looking for info, all you have to do is ask.

It doesn't sound much like you've "Had it" it, does it? Pot-Kettle-Dark hues. :?

I've had nothing but help and cameraderie from both this site, and the one you've just been invited to join. Top bunch of blokes IMHO. I suspect you're getting out what you've put in friend.

Now come on Bob, we all know it's you he's talking about :-D - you're one of the those euro types if ever I saw one. :-D

Have to go and put my Euro 2T away - just spent a half an hour tuning in the carb mixture - seems OK to me...I guess we will find out. :smt005
