Baggie Seat Improvements

Well, I've only owned my 2005 Baggie for a few days, but already I know I have to do something about the seat. I can only stand it for about 25 miles before I have to stop and get off to rest my behind. I've seen some modified seats in the gallery, but couldn't find any real info in the forum by searching. All I can think of is going to a seat specialist, and asking him to come up with a new padding scheme for the stock seat with broader and firmer support. Have any of you come up with a good solution? Is there a shop that already knows what to do, that I could send my seat to?

I did a home made seat with the help of ebay for $50.Others have paid hundreds.

I agree though if I didn't get it sorted out I was going to get rid of mine.

The good news is when you get it straightened out it is so much fun !!

This guy on ebay breaks bikes and is good to deal with http://myworld.ebay.com/southeastpowersports/

That is an interesting looking seat. It looks to be way more comfortable than stock. How about a description of what it's from and how you fitted it? I've had Saddlemen do a seat for my Saxon Tour, and was thinking of going to them again, but they're not exactly cheap. Good work, though.

Hi Ken,I found out who I ordered it from on ebay and for $50 bucks didn't seem to have a lot to loose if it didn't work out.

Here is a picture of the process it took about an hour altogether, and I saved the chunk I cut out so I can put it back to stock if necessary.

Which will be never as long as I own the bike...
