Carb.... again

Postby elcaptain69 » Sun Oct 25, 2009 3:34 pm

I have always had a degree of carb problems.. never too serious but always wanted better.. well I've had a bit of a problem with the bike cutting out when I stop at junctions etc. or if I did an abrupt stop.. well I have always played around with the secondary carb but I knew this was a primary carb problem, so decided to notch the needle up (clip down 1) More fuel.. well its made all the difference and loads quicker off the mark.. The good news is that it can be done with only taking the tank off and not the carbs.. 20 min job!

Ok Craig... If I can help give me a shout.. I thought this might be a common problem, thats why I posted it.. Like i said it can be done without taking the carbs off, a bit fiddley but worth it.

HI again Craig, I got my rear light from these guys.. http://www.busters-accessories.co.uk/pr ... ghway-Hawk Its in the UK but i'd imagine you'd be able to get something in your neck of the woods. Ive fitted L.E.D bulbs in it.. http://www.1topstore.com/product_info.p ... ts_id=6456 available from most retailers now.. they are great.. well bright and shock proof!
I did a quick search about the headlight mount.. google through up this... http://images.google.co.uk/imgres?imgur ... N%26um%3D1

Ok its on a Bandit but probably give you some ideas..
Its getting to cold winter here :x so not using my Baggi so much but its running really good now and not cut out at all since I did the carb :D

I think I need to do this as my bike stumbles a bit when opening the throttle. How do you get the slide out of the primary carb without removing the carbs to get the throttle spindle assembly out?
