Newbie with some Baghira questions

Hi All
Just picked up an 2002 Baghira. A few things need attention though so I have a couple of questions for now and probably some to follow!
Firstly I have some play on the bobbins on the front disc so am looking for a replacement. From what I've read in the archives an R1 R6 one from 99-02 will fit the Baggy OK, can anyone confirm that?
Secondly I feel the Baghira is really struggling to breathe properly. As far as i know its all standard. However I do have a BSM Vampire to go on there (keeping DB killer in). I've just spent a few hours trawling the archives but cant really find a definitive answer about adjusting the fuelling. It does appear a re-jet isn't necessary but adjusting needle height works well with this exhaust? This is where it gets confusing. Some say one notch down on the primary carb and one notch up on the secondary. Some say just one notch down on the secondary etc etc. Anyone got a Baghira with a BSM on? How did you adjust your fuelling? Or is there a general consenus to what carb adjustments works best for this type of exhaust?
The diaphragm shim is mentioned as a worthwhile modification in the archives many times. Anyone made up their own one? Would the correct thickness plastic be okay? Thoughts?
Many thanks.
