Ignition Box Repair Sources

Can anyone give me contact information for places that repair the ND ignition boxes for 660 engines? There used to be someone in England who could repair them, and also raise or delete the rev limits. I have also been told that there is someone in New Zealand who can do the work, but haven't been able to find any info on him. I have a couple of stock Skorpion boxes that have failed on the race bike, and I'd like to see if I can get them repaired, and have the rev limit raised or removed. I'm pretty sure they failed because I mounted them horizontally instead of vertically, allowing the engine vibrations to flex the circuit card until it failed. I've been using TDM 850 boxes, because they have no rev limiter, but they have more maximum advance than the 660 boxes, and I'm pretty sure that with the higher compression of the race engine, I need less, not more, advance. Going back to the stock 660 box would be a step in the right direction.

Also, has anyone had experience with the programmable ignition from IgniTech? I'm considering that as a possible replacement.

Considering the fairly low price of the Ignitech unit it hardly seems worthwhile repairing or sourcing a TDM unit unless you get a really good price.

I have the Ignitech TCIP4 unit on my Skorpion and it works perfectly, its better than my old modified box, and better suited to a tuned engine due to the ability to adjust the advance curve freely.

Ignitech can supply you with a plug and play unit, send them an e-mail for details.

Thanks Anders and Iceman. I'm not in the UK, and I think Anders is right about the value vs cost for the Ignitech unit. I've been communicating with Jiri about them, and I'm about to buy the same unit you have, Anders. I like the idea of playing with the advance with a laptop in the dyno room. Mostly I wanted to hear from someone who has actually used the Ignitech unit, and when Anders says it works well, I'm convinced. I'll probably also get a unit for my SRX race bike, which is currently running an XT600E electric start engine, with a similar ND ignition system to the Skorpion.

I use only the Ignitech TCIP4 in my 660 engined bikes and also an Ignitech rectifier in the MZ. Their stuff is very good.
I routinely supply it to Skorpion and SZR riders, preprogrammed with the curve I have found to work best with the stock engine.
I also have race bikes running with the TCIP4. And my own engine is anything but stock.
Having sold over 50 Sparkers to various customers all ober Europe, A word of warning, tho. As shipped by Ignitech, the bike will not start with the Sparker.
You must change the setting on the first page of their SW:

turn off the connection for sidestand etc as above.
The supplied curve is not good, either, but you can change that - or write me a mail and I will send you one that does work.
Or buy the TCIP4 from me. I charge 125€ plus postage, so you can see that I do not make a shit load of money off the thing. I normally have at least one on stock.
