My front disc has some play in it and would rattle as you hit a bump etc. There was almost 2mm movment between the disc and carrier which isn't good. I was told an R1 disc (99-02) fits okay so I had a look on ebay nd bagged a brand new one for £46 delivered!
I put it on the bike on saturday and yes it went straight on, but i had some trouble getting the caliper back on and it to really push it against the wheel to get it back into position! But it is on and working fine and seems to all line up okay now its on there. Anyone else fitted a R1 disc? Was your clearance when refitting the caliper an issue?

Hi
I have long since sold the bike but it was on there when I sold it and working well. I never had any problems other than the wheel clearance when fitting it.

Does this work on the Mastiff as well?? I have a couple of Yamaha R1 discs on the shelf a 310 mm from an 2007 R6 and a 320mm from an 06 R1, both have same six hole pcd and are flat, (not dished on the hub portion).

had a problem with my disk rattling eventually it fell apart, and nearly had me off....
my mechanic mate had a pair of R1 disks... both different.. i think one had 12 bobbins, and the other 10... so i bought the two off him for like £25... the baghira one i think has 6 bobbins, and is crap....
get the R1 / R6 disk loads better
