MZ/MuZ Riders

Hi, I have seen several comments about the fuel system on the skorpion traveler but have a slight problem if anyone can help. I bought the bike with an electric fuel pump fitted for starting only and later realised it was because the choke was jammed and whoever must have seen it as too difficult to repair. I have now repaired released the choke and it is working well. In the process I removed the electric pump that was fitted and discovered a rubber hose that comes from the rubber that joins the carbs to the block. In the end of this hose had been placed a large bolt to block it. When I removed it I found that there is a sucking affect from the tube and the bike don't run right with it unblocked. I fear there is something missing but have misplaced my manual and cant find one on line...... Help please lol

OMG LOL Think I might have spotted it on here. It looks like a manual fuel pump ..... its not on mine so now what lol .......

the connection on the left carb flange with the hose is the vacuum source for the original fuel pump. It must either be connected to such a pump or blocked off air-tight, i.e. plugged as you describe. It can be done that way but Mikuni also has a rubber cap to go over the standing pipe on the flange to block it off.
No Skorpion of any model needs a fuel pump of any kind.
