Hi Guys,
It's my 1st time on the forum and i wanted to know what my options were when it comes down to changing the standard exhaust on my 2001 baggy?
Also would it be as easy as just switching the exhaust over or would modifications to the carb have to be done as well?
Thanks
Levi

Hi,
BSM future road legal, or BSM vampire not legal, unless you pop in the db killer...
That would be my choice no need for rejet

Levi,
The only reason I'd change the exhaust is to save weight.
I would suggest reading the information that this forum has posted regarding the changing externals of the engine.
There is a wealth of information to help you with the results in performance your interested in.
Regards,
OMC

Thanks for you replies guys,
Ideally i want an exhuast that is quite loud. I've always had them this way and the standard silencer fited isnt the lightest as you mentioned. What engine externals would you thinking of changing. Air filter, re-jetting ect?
Just had a look at the options you have given me, they look very nice but its not as simple as just slipping on the new exhasut is it? From looking at my bike i would need some kind of connector from the downpipes as another exhaust would not fit onto both downpipes?
Thanks for your help
Levi

Levi,
the bsm pipe comes with twin down pipes that join to the original MZ stainless steel pipes
my choice would be to go for the BSM Vampire, and when you order it, ask for the DB killer. You can then pop it in for the M.o.t. or for longer runs when you get a bit fed up of the noise....
