MZ/MuZ Riders

Hi,

I'm an happy italian owner of a "yellow" baghira, buyed second hand from a friend of mine.
I'm pretty satisfied of it, excepted for its range. With only 12 liters of fuel I can do only about 200-220 km, depending on streets and driving style. So, I'm looking for a way to obtain a bigger tank.
I red on the net that somebody did some bigger tanks: do you know if they're still avaiable, and how much it costs? Would be necessary to change also the plastic covers, and maybe the seat? It wuold be a good reason also to change the seat, that for a bit long trups isn't very confortable, and more unconfortable for the passenger.

I've a last but most important question: I've problems finding spare parts for my Baghira. When the old owner "fried" the clutch, even if the engine is from yamaha, he wasn't sure about the corresponding model, so he had to buy it from a dealer he found on the net, from UK, instead from official yamaha dealer in his city.
Now I've the same problem: front brake's pump broke up, I know only it's made by Grimeca, but I'm not sure about the model, so I don't want t buy the wrong spare parts. Do you suggest to buy only the pieces that are broken, the Grimeca's ones (which model?), or would be better to buy a new pump from Yamaha's models, as I'd prefer to do, because i think are more reliable?

I'd be very grateful if you could suggest me where I could fine a "garage manual" for mechanics where I can find more detailed infos, or if you can tell me which model form yamaha is equivalent.

get a Brembo PS12 or PS13 pump. You can get them used easily I hope at eBay. In particular, the PS12 is used on most KTMs. The PS13 on the Yamaha SZR and TZR 4DL as well as other some Belgarda models. Also on the Mito and on some smaller Ducatis if they have a single brake disc. Of course you can buy either pump new. Perhaps even cheaper than getting the original Grimeca as official spare part.
Do not waste a cent on Grimeca parts.

On fryday a friend of mine should give me a Yamaha's original pump, so I'll see if is right for my braking system. As you suggest, I decided not using Grimeca anymore: my life doesn't worth few euros saved buying cheap spare parts!!!

Well, a last question: I noticed that I also have to change front disk (is 4,3mm instead of 4,5.. after 18000km. Is it a good performance, or waste too early?) and front and rear brakepads.

I went to a big customer where I usually buy spare parts, but we couldn't find tha disk I need. I told him that Baghira has many pieces in common with Tenerè of last '90-early 2000, but even going there with the old disk he told he can't be sure, if we don't know the exact model corresponding.
So, can you give me an advice about which yamaha is "cousin" of my Baghira, in order to choose right disks? Tenerè's one - front - costs only 55€ (about 70$) but I'm afraid is a disk smaller than my 282mm.

If I'll know this, I think in future I'll have less problems finding right spare parts.
