Smaller back tire Baghira

I was thinking of going to a smaller back tire on my Baghira. Would a 150/60 or 70/17 fit ok? Or even as small as a 140? I'm trying to make the bike as nimble as it can get.
Thanks, Ed

I guess that it would be ok, as my Baggy on trial wheels has a 140/80 18 on the rear.

wel it's not a Baggi but I run 130/70 on my Skorpion and My 1994 Tour had a 130 rear tire as new from the factory.
You might want to try the Heidenau K66 as an all-terrain, all weather tire if you can get them.

BTW, the SZR, also a 4" rim, is running a 140/70 tire.

A 150 will most likely be OK, but we have a 4.5 inch wide wheel, so look at manufacturers fitment charts and see if they recommend that width wheel to whatever tire you are looking at. Besides, a 150 might actually be pulled wider and flatter than a 160 and might not result in better handling anyway. And just because it says 150 or 160 on the side doesn't mean it really is 150 or 160 wide, might be more might be less. there might only be 4 mm width difference in a certain brand/style of tire from a 150 to 160 or 160 to 170, etc.. And comparing one tire brand to another doesn't work either, exact size-wise. Check the true specs listed by manufacturers.

whatever else, 4.25" (pirelli/metzeler) resp. 4.5"(bridgestone) is the reference rim width for a 150 tire.
