Engine slow to idle

I have a skorpion sport cup...took a 17 mile ride and when returning I noticed when I let off the gas to come to a stop the engine
didn't want to slow down for about 8 seconds. When I pulled into my driveway going up a steep hill I thought it might cut out...
when I got to a stop and let it idle in about 5 seconds it did cut out. It was like it was out of gas or flooded. Should I just get the
carbs cleaned or is it running too rich ? It was fine for the first 15 miles....

I'd start with a carb cleaning. When I bought my Traveller, it didn't want to run well after sitting up for a while in the owner's garage.
Rough idle, stumbling at speed.
Lots of trash in the float bowl filter.
Good luck,
Bill R

Also check the cables to make sure they are moving freely. A stuck choke would produce similar symptoms.
