MZ/MuZ Riders

Hello,
I've just bought a Baghira dual sport, which has 2 sets of wheels; 21" enduro wheels and 17" supermoto wheels. This may be a silly question but will the different wheels effect the speedo reading? I've looked in the owners manual that came with the bike but it doesn't have anything about swapping the wheels over and at the moment the speedo doesnt seem to go above 50mph with the SM wheels on. The bike doesnt seem to have much top end, but I am used to an RF600 and 1200 bandit!
It may be the gearing set up which i will also look at.
Any suggestions/help welcome.

different diameter wheels will definitely affect the speedo reading.
that aside, i've yet to see a motorcycle with an accurate speedo. everything seems to be off up or down.

if you want to know your actual speed, you could use/get/borrow a GPS or a smart phone and see what the mismatch is depending on tires, then keep that in mind when you ride.

The SM and E model Baggi have different speedo drives, different length kickstands, and different front brake bracket. I have both "sets". The 21 wheels speedo drive returns VERY accurate speeds (comparing to GPS), within 1-2 mph. The 17 inch is pretty damn close too.

I can probably come up with the two part numbers if you think you want them.

thanks, that makes sense, if you have the part numbers that would be great. Thanks for our other message and picture of your bike, certainly looks good black!! Is that a universal number plate holder under the rear fender?
