MZ/MuZ Riders

Hi all, after trawling through this great site I still can't find a definitive answer to what is a direct replacement for a Baghira rear disc/rotor, I have an 03 baghira black (white!) panther and need a rear disc and brake hose. I can get the hose made but just do not know which disc to purchase so any help would be greatly appreciated. Also is it normal for the forks to dive so much even under soft braking? Many thanks for any help/advice you may be able to give.

Hi, try Grahams motorcycles in Taunton. they are on the web, the standard size is 245 mm. I am recent new owner and yes the forks are a bit soft but then I am used to a BMW front end that does not dive hardly at all.

hi , and yes , mine dives like a hooker on a bank holiday , you know the shocks on these different to each other,right side is the rebound rate and the left is the compression rate , I have tried adjusting but to no avail , however , the oil in these is 5 weight so Ive ordered 10 weight to see if thats does anything , How does it corner , mine feels like it wants to situp all the time-horrible!!-got no confidence cornering

Thanks for the help chaps, a part number would be great if you can find it thankyou! Cornering isn't bad I can chuck it about easily but the suspension is just too squishy! I have to sort the rear out aswell as that is softer than a poached egg!

step the oil up to at least 10SAE, some go as far as 20.
Before you do anything else. measure the air column in the fork: take off the plugs and remove the springs and let it drop all the way down, then measure how far the oil is from the top.
I have no details for this fork with with the Paioli for the Skorpion it is or should be 150mm. That fork can be reduced to 130 and works much better.
Less air make the fork harder without actually changing the rebound rate. Thicker oil does that but thicker oil with lots of air is still quite soft at the top.

Thanks for your help all, I can now concentrate on sorting the rear shock out (turns out it's the same as on a ktm 640 adventure) so I'll find a much stiffer/longer spring for it. At 20 stone the suspension on the baggy just doesn't cut it!
