Hi Folks,

First time out on my rebuilt Skorp and noticed oil on the rear mudguard. Traced in to a crack at the base of the filler neck. Obviously I can't ride in this condition. Anyway of repairing or am I looking at a new tank?

There are some plastic welding systems on the market but you have to do some experimenting or know exactly what kind of plastic you are welding. Some body shop in your area may have a knowledgeable person to speak with or who can send you in the right direction. I think it would be an easy fix once you know what type of plastic it is.

I would try Q-bond
http://www.qbond.net

most of the time it sticks to what ever i have tried it on

if it works for a while may give you time to find a tank
or fab one from metal
but as with ever thing now days its not cheap
local auto supply house here stocks it
