Hi "folks",

I'm writing asking some help to look for a replacement for my head lamp.
Last year I had a crash because a guy that crossed with his car when it was red light. I felt down and seriously broke my left arm, risking alsto to loose the faculty to move my hand.
Fortunately i found good doctors, and after 12 months I'm ok enough starting to think about riding agai.
But I need a new headlamp, because was broken. It's almost impossibile to find it without know which "stock" motorbike uses the same lamp (no motorbike dealers knows MZ Baghira) and buying on the net from an official dealer is a bit expensive.. 71£!!!!
I would appreciate very much any suggestions... for example last year, few days before the crash, I just bought new disks that are the same as Yamaha R1..

Thanks a lot!!!

Just had a look on german ebay, the sellers there list the lamp as fitting the SM125, and also some KTM models. Bad news is its not that cheap either, perhaps an after market fairing is the way to go.

Same as what? Which bike are we talking about here? Baghira, Mastiff, Skorpion,...?
Is the headlamp module broken or the fairing?

:o  ah, thanks! :P Baghira. The headlamp unit is the same as some KTM LC4 models. I don't know how it could be 70 pounds - it's not a sealed beam unit.

various KTM 640 LC4, Husqvarna, Husaberg models
...Look at some LC4 parts manuals.

PS:
Apparently, the KTM LC4 headlight is $100-something, so 70 pounds would be right.
According to someone here - http://www.ktmforum.co.uk/bikes-bits-wanted/48865-640-lc4-headlight-wanted.html...
...later Yamaha DTR 125's (2005 on I think?) use the same headlight (with a glass lense for 55/60w halogen) and they drop straight into the original KTM mask (same fittings on the back of the lense) - probably more of them knocking about on eBay or in breakers... (I think MZ baghira and some Husaberg/Husqvarna units are the same too - all from the same Italian factory I believe...)

Here is one from dualstar for $50:

Hi!!!

Forgive me, I forgot writing that my motorbike is a Baghira.. stupid me!!!

In my case was broke the headlamp, completely exploded. The support was a bit damaged, , so I bought on the ebay all the front support, include front fairing. And when I checked, i noticed that where there are the hole for loosening screws to attach the headlamp.. palstic on the lamp were broken.

I asked a friend of mine, and he said the the lamp is the same as is Husquarna 610. On the italian Ebay I found this
http://www.ebay.it/itm/FARO-FANALE-ANTE ... 3cb8d90d08
and it seems to be the one.

Do you think I can buy? Is less expensive: in euros the original headlamp costs 87€ + shippping costs (that should be around 10-15€), the one found in ebay is 60€ shipping included...and faster.

When i searched with google, i looked at 3 or 4 threads on advrider... the KTM EXC models (like in this ebay) the headlight is plastic not glass, 35W instead of 55W, costs less. Maybe the Husqvarana 610 is that same plastic headlight. So i think it would fit. I think it would be ok with the heat of 55W. But i'm not sure.

Good.. I didin't think about the possible difference in materials, but even if plastic instead glass it shoudn't be a problem.. I hope! So I think I'll buy the ebay one, and then I'll tell you.
Thanks for the advice
