I just read an add for a tour in Pa. USA, that stated the odometer reads K/M and the speedo reads mph? Anyone shed antylight on this for me? As I believe that would not meet D.O.T regulations....

some times they slip through
i have a bmw r50s from 1963 that used to read that way till i rebuilt it...
and my saxon tour reads mph on the needle but km on the trip and distance
its a 1995 model
on low numbers of bikes imported i do not think they pay much attention...

my 2002 rt125 has a switch on the handle bar to turn off the head lamp
there were 3 on the show room floor when i bought it ...the other 2 had no on /off switch

i got it because i said i want the black one...

i had a r90s bmw 1974 the seal on the shaft were the shift lever went into the trans
used a seal for a slash 5 1973 bike but every thing else on the trans was slash 6 and it was a 5 speed

On my 2002 Baghira, the odometer is in KM, and the speedometer reads both, with the KM being the outside large numbers and MPH being smaller numbers on the inside.

Not to worry - a lot of the Skorpions made it to the US and the UK that way.

My 1995 Sport is the same.

I used the KM reading in the Miles box for the title to keep it less confusing for the DMV.
