Is there a more comfortable seat replacement for the stock seat? I've seen some pictures of wider ones, but can't find what they are or who would have them.

Seargent will take your Seat and re-foam/re-cover it for 150-250 depending on what you want:
http://www.sargentcycle.com/custserv.htmThey have a very solid reputation. Check out their seat design tutorial too:
http://www.sargentcycle.com/csroadcom.htmIm just about to send a seat to them for recovering; youre welcome to check it out when it gets back. Good to hear your bike is on the road to recovery!

I've had 3 Muz seats done by Sargent (2 Sports and a Tour) plus my old VFR. No foam modifications but love there service and quality.

I'd love to see a pic of one of your Sport seats...did you have them change anything? I was thinking
about flattening the seat angle a bit.

Sm,
Various pictures in the members gallary (DROY) of my Sport. I had a rear Sport seat covered in a simular manner with some previous bodywork but it desided to "fly away" as they do at times if the rear lock in not tight!
I just had a Tour seat covered in simular colors.

That looks great Doug. My sport seat is starting to show signs that it will soon start cracking, but I love the stock seat. It's EZ to move around on and the foam is just right for me. It could stand to be more breathable in hot weather. Did the Sargent redo change any of the seat's positive traits?

No changes to the foam or seat layout. I do slid forward a lot which could be addressed by cutting down the back and rasing the front a bit, but then again theres not a lot of foam to work with! The ideal way to do it would be to have the bike at Sargent, but I'm not a fan of that drive to FL!
BTW - any intrest in a ealy AM meet up on a Sunday in August - maybe Upper Black Eddy or Port Jarvis area? I think I could get another one or two MuZ guys to join us.

You just have to get used to the seat! I just took a 2 hour ride this weekend... on the way up I just stood on the pegs for a few minutes. The way back was butter. The Baghi seat is nowhere near as bad as some of the sportbikes i've ridden! Try putting some weight on the pegs, or moving a little further back and learning forward. Works for me, and the best part is it's $Free.99

guys used to complain about the late 60's early 70's BMW seats....
i never had a problem with them
as i got rid of the USA bars and put on a stock setup from Europe
then i was setting on the seat like it was made to sit on ..
my rt125 seat is good but is to high at the rear and makes you slide up against the tank
where the vibration then becomes a problem
as every thing gets numb from the vibes
...10,000 rpm for 3 or 4 hours can do a job on you ability to walk
230miles in 5 hours is a bit much but can be done
