I just got an email from them saying that they ship world wide and they gave a 35 to 70 british pound estimate for shipping to central Texas. Their site sells the system for cheaper than the ebay listing for what it's worth. Also, the exchange rate is much better than I remember it being. It's only $1.59 for every pound right now. If I didn't think that a pair of flatslides would be a better improvement than the exhaust, I'd already have order being processed.

I think Bill J mentioned the very first item to improve breathing is the exhaust....then carbs etc....

Oh! I guess that I remembered wrong. I thought that you didn't need to worry about the header diameter until you started worrying about flowing the head and pushing the top end of the hp spectrum for these engines. I'll reconsider.

The large bore headers are 1.5" (38.1mm) outer diameter = 1134 sq mm or +41% of the stock header.
The stock headers are 32mm = 804 sq mm
What results will the dyno show....

Keep in mind that dyno results don't necessarily equal street performance. That kind of jump on a stock motor might have a negative impact on throttle response and midrange. It's not like Yamaha/MZ deliberately try to get bad performance by using smaller pipes. Personally, I wouldn't make a jump like that w/o making a corresponding jump in head flow via porting/cams, and a carb as well. From everything I've heard the stock Skorpion exhaust does pretty well for the stock motor.

I'm sure that is right Sam,but if you jet for it it'll show improvement...I bought Morbidelli17's exhaust,2-1 using Barker's headers, plus Tunebikes carb kit,and spacer w/K&N filters
otherwise stock except for Skorpion Cup jetting..we'll see with the seat of the pants dyno mid range should improve....I hope.1:)

The larger headers slow down the velocity of the exhaust gases = lose power in the midrange.

Noooooo!
It looks like they've canceled the product already but I sent them a message saying that I would buy a set if they are still offering them. We'll see.....

Just opened an email from them. They still have the jigs and are putting the part back up on the web site. I'll be placing my order in a few days.

Well it looks like one more part for the bike will have to wait a little longer. My computer is crashing daily now and flat worn out. Since it is a necessity for me, I better be responsible and put off the luxury of racing headers another month or two.

I've been looking closely at the stock headers. The their ID is about 30mm which is the same as the exhaust ports, not ideal, but not horrible either. But there are 3 obstructions in the stock header: first, there is a big chunk of weld in the ID of the header right at the exhaust port from welding the flanges on. Nothing that can't be solved by running a 1 3/16 end mill in there and filing a little, or just going at it with a die grinder. Second is a similar buildup of weld, and a generally crappy transition in the collector where the two head pipes join. I solved this by cutting the collector off with a hacksaw, cleaning up with a die grinder, and rewelding. Lastly, the collector/header is about 39mm ID, which translates to a slightly smaller area than the two head pipes. I'm leaving this alone for now, but I'm sure a new collector going to the muffler, maybe 1.75 tube would bring benefits and not be too hard to do for anyone with basic welding skills.
Of course a race header will be better for max horsepower. But the stock system has a lot of potential for improvement with only a couple of hours of work and may be better for a hot street setup.

Order placed! I really couldn't afford it after losing the short fight to keep my partner of almost 16 years alive but I needed something to be happy about so I ordered the headers. Don't let this be a drag. It's more of a celebration of her life than anything. Every time I roll on the throttle, I'll be reminded of her. Enjoy the photos.
RIP Daisy!
